Judas Priest - Wikipedia

Enjoying some Priest after (Eric's) work today! Old concert footage in Germany or something. Awesome live, super suck on studio recordings. There's some disagreement about which is "better" in metal - Priest or (Iron) Maiden. I don't know or like Maiden, what I've heard is stupid "epic" crap. Priest has no pretense in lyrics, songs, guitar virtuosity, nay nay my friends...just loud wailing "operatic vocal style" - wiki, leather (NOT spandex), metal spikes, loud guitars, and slamming beats - nothing but kick ass. And a loud, smokey, chopper revving onstage! Woooo! "Hell bent for leather!" "Their influence, while mainly Halford's operatic vocal style and the twin guitar sound of Downing and Tipton, has been adopted by many bands. Their image of leather, spikes, and other taboo articles of clothing were widely influential during the glam metal era of the 1980s.
