Eartha Kitt Said Black Lives Matter in 1968

Eartha Kitt, in the White House invited to a ladies event about the youth. When asked, she said one sentence. Didn't go well for Eartha. She ended up with the CIA, FBI, etc digging into her life to find dirt. Death threats. She couldn't perform in the US for years. "She started as a dancer in the The Katherine Dunham Company, a troupe of dancers, singers, actors and musicians, was the first African-American modern dance company. It descended from Ballet Nègre, a student troupe founded in 1930 by Katherine Dunham, which later became the Negro Dance Troupe." wiki I studied the Katherine Dunham technique when I took that dance class of the same name. Fantastic! Classical modern dance to African drums. Warming up, I sweated puddles on the floor at the barre. It was great! "Kitt's unique style was enhanced as she became fluent in French during her years performing in Europe. She spoke four languages and sang in seven, which she effortlessly demonstrated in many of the live recordings of her cabaret performances." wiki Don't be tellin' me nothin' bout Ms Eartha! Love Eartha! Substance and fabulous style.
